Walking for Pleasure August 2019

7 AUGUST W024 Mogo Oval: Original Gold Rush Colony & bush track. Easy-2. On Princess Hway just south of Mogo turn into Buckenbowra Rd, then right into Park St and left into Queen St to the Mogo Oval. We cross the highway at the traffic lights and walk towards the Original Gold Rush Colony, follow a forest track, then return for lunch. 14 AUGUST W028 Barlings Beach, Eastern end: Beach walk to Tomaga River. Easy-2. Medium 3, if to lookout. Immediately east of Barlings Beach Caravan Park on George Bass Drive, turn off towards the sea onto a dirt track along the eastern boundary of the van park to the beach. Park near the end of this track. We walk along the beach to Melville Point, then along Barlings and Tomakin Beaches to the Tomaga River and return for lunch. Great views from Melville Point Lookout.

21 AUGUST WOO5A Long Beach: flat walk on grass and beach. Easy-1. Driving north on Princess Hway 4.4 km north of Batemans Bay turn at Long Beach turnoff into Cullendulla Drive and continue right through to Long Beach. Park at the seaside just after turning left into Bay Pde. An easy, flat walk back along Sandy Place on a grass verge, past toilets & picnic site through to the beach and return for lunch along the beach, even at high tide.

28 AUGUST W011 Surfside: Myamba Parade, Cullendulla Creek Walk. At the roundabout on Princess Hway just north of Clyde River Bridge turn east into Peninsula Drive. Continue to the roundabout at its end, turn right then left to Foam Street. Next turn right into Myamba Parade and continue almost to the end to the car park on the beach side. We walk through the nature reserve and along Cullendulla Creek along the board walk and loop back for lunch.



NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
