Playground meeting in South Durras Dec 11th

Writer: The BeagleThe Beagle

Council are holding a community meeting in Durras on Friday 11 December to discuss a proposal to install the village’s new playground next to the skate park.

"More than 230 people responded to our survey to pick the design for the new playground earlier this month - this one (option C) was the clear winner with 74% of the votes and will be installed next year.

"Through the process some residents let us know they’d prefer the playground to be next to the skate park, rather than where the existing playground is at the corner of Village Road and Corilla Street.

"This aligns with long-term planning in our Recreation and Open Space Strategy so we’re investigating this opportunity and keen to hear more views.

"Come along to Durras skate park on Friday 11 December at 10am or if you can’t make it let us know in the comments which location you’d prefer!"
