Volunteers Needed For 2021 Narooma Oyster Festival

Narooma Oyster Festival are looking for people to fill volunteer roles at this year’s Festival on 30 April and 1 May. Festival volunteers are highly valued and play an integral part in supporting Festival staff in the delivery and operations of the region’s hallmark event. “Joining our wonderful volunteer team is a tangible way to support local tourism and the community,” said Narooma Oyster Festival Volunteer Coordinator, Cass Bendixsen. Festival volunteers receive a Festival ticket and T-shirt and are encouraged to have fun, help visitors enjoy the Eurobodalla region when it’s at its best, and help the local economy bounce back post bushfires and Covid-19. “As a past volunteer for the Festival, I know first-hand that it’s a great way to be part of the action with lots of fun, food & oysters! You don’t need to volunteer for the whole event - we’d love your help even for a few hours,” said Ms Bendixsen. KEY DATES: • Thursday 29th April – Festival set-up day • Friday 30th April –Festival set-up & Friday evening Event • Saturday 01st May – Festival Day • Sunday 02nd May – Festival site clean-up Volunteers are required across multiple roles, including: • Food & Wine – An RSA certificate is required for people serving alcohol in our Bars & Premium Events • Cooking Program Assistant – Assist in the delivery of the Cooking Program with renowned Australian chefs • Information, Ticketing & Safety Officers – Greeting visitors and general visitor information • Merchandise Sales – selling merchandise • Site Parking – assisting visitors with parking nearby • Rubbish/General Duties – Assisting throughout the day to ensure the site remains clean and the event runs smoothly “We urgently require volunteers with current RSA certification, so if you have this certificate, or are aware of anyone who does and might be keen to volunteer at the Festival, please let me know,” said Ms Bendixsen.
