Volunteering : keeping our community vibrant

Eurobodalla Mayor, Mathew Hatcher, had the pleasure of meeting with Georgie Staley and Mark Stubbings from the Narooma Mountain Bike Club over the weekend. The club was successful in receiving grant funding of nearly $4M for their trail system. Mayor Hatcher said of the meeting "When you combine that with the $8M project for the Mogo trails plus trails at Eden and Cooma we are setting up as a long term mecca for tourists looking to get out and explore Southern NSW. "There will be tremendous flow on from tourist exploring our beautiful shire and wanting to spend more time here when they visit. I want to congratulate the Narooma Mountain Bike Club on the tremendous work they have done for the community." "Community organisations are vital for this region and the hard work they put in to achieve amazing results for this shire must be commended and there is no better example than this club. "I look forward to working with and supporting other volunteer groups and the work they do for this community. If you are wanting to volunteer and get active and unsure where to start just follow the link below to get active. We are all in this together and many hands make light work!"
