Volunteer Grants close Sunday April 18th

Around 20 applications have already been received for the 2021 Volunteer Grants but there is still time for more ahead of the 18th April deadline. Kristy McBain MP, Member for Eden-Monaro said "The people of Eden-Monaro are strong and dynamic. We have a solid culture of community spirit and service.
"Which is why I want to make sure local organistaions are aware of the ‘Families and Community Program - 2021 Volunteer Grants’.
"Volunteer Grants support the work of local community organisations with a focus on the inclusion of vulnerable people and promoting participation in volunteering.
There is $132,450 available for Eden-Monaro not-for-profit organisations whose workforce consists of at least 40% volunteers.
Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 will be available to assist eligible community organisations.
Small portable equipment purchases, contributions towards the cost of training volunteers, reimbursement of fuel costs for volunteers and undertaking background screening checks for volunteers are examples of what these funds can assist with.
