Veteran golfer John Sands wins Tuross Head stableford event

Veteran golfer John Sands scored an easy win in the Tuross Head Country Club stableford golf competition this week returning a card of 42 stableford points.

He was followed by Darren Willmouth and Ian McManus both on 40 points, Paul Medwin 39 and Bruce Cleeve 38.

Ballas were awarded down to 33 points.

Nearest the pins were won by A grade golfer:

Paul Ferguson on the 4th hole with 3.15 m. and Paul was also best on the 6th with 2.08 m.

Troy Kingdom was closest on the 7th with 7.45 m.

B grade player Dave Schmid won the 4th with 4.67 m.

Steve Swanbury the 6th with 2.08 m and

Jim Wade the 7th with 4.90 m.

John Sands was best of the C grade players with 3.42 m on the 4th hole and

Paul Medwin was awarded the 5th with 2.37 m .

Members are reminded that the THCC Open will be played on Saturday November 30th and Sunday December 1st

and early registration at the club are essential.

Thursday medley stableford competition was won by Dorothy Madden with an excellent score of 40 points ahead of Desmond Jackson and David Schmid both on 39 points. Roger Chappell filled the remaining position with 37 points.

Nearest the pins were won by Joel Hilliard, Peter Garn and Ian McManus.
