During Urgent business today Council moved to to write to the Member for Bega, Andrew Constance to support his concerns around movements of freight etc and in regard to those travelling from areas of lockdown coming into the Eurobodalla, to support the security of the community.
Councillors were advised by Director Sharpe that there are major projects underway and that Council needs to be clear on its intent as closing down supply to those projects would incur penalties and costs.
The caution must be to enable the work, such as Araluen Road, to continue should there be contractors and supply coming from locked down areas.
Councillor Brown was assured by the General Manager in regards to his concerns of Sydney people coming to their holiday house in Narooma to isolate, that it was allowed under NSW Health regulations.
Left of field Councillor Nathan wanted to include advice to Health Minister Hunt to ask that Ivermectin be more easily and readily available for general practitioners who may use it "off label".
This was not supported.
