Informal catch-ups are being held across the shire for locals to have a cuppa and a chat with friendly faces and connect with local bushfire support services, if needed.
The Tea and Talk Sessions, organised by the Red Cross and Service NSW, aim to provide meaningful help for all residents, not just those significantly-impacted by the Black Summer Bushfires.
Locals can say ‘g’day’ to their neighbours and talk with service provider representatives, who can help with things like counselling, grants and low-interest loans, practical help at home, food and household supplies, property preparedness information and case management support.
The Tea and Talk Sessions are being held 11am-2pm at:
Catalina – 29 September, Hanging Rock Function Centre
Bodalla – 6 October and 3 November (first Tuesday of the month) at Bruce Motbey Reserve
Malua Bay – 13 October and 10 November (second Tuesday of the month) at Batemans Bay Surf Life Saving Club
Mogo – 20 October and 17 November (third Tuesday of the month) at the Mogo Mall car park
Nelligen – 27 October and 24 November (fourth Tuesday of the month) at the Foreshore Reserve.
For more information about the sessions contact the Eurobodalla Bushfire Recovery Support Service on 4474 7434.
