Two new Covid cases in Bodalla

Southern NSW LHD (SNSWLHD) has reported two new COVID-19 cases in the Eurobodalla Shire.

The cases are located in Bodalla and the source of both infections is under investigation.

It means the total number of active cases in the shire is 22.

Further south in the Bega shire SNSWLHD has been notified of new venues of concern associated with COVID-19 cases.

Anyone who visited one of these venues at the times listed is a casual contact and must

immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. Staff will be

contacted separately by SNSWLHD’s Public Health Unit regarding their testing and isolation

requirements.


Club Bega has also been identified as a venue of concern

Bega Cheese has confirmed two positive COVID-19 employees as the initiate a controlled shutdown of their site Bega Cheese has announced this afternoon that two staff members at their Ridge Street site have tested positive to COVID-19.

The site has been temporarily shutdown and employees, visitors and contractors have been notified to get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. Bega Cheese is working closely with NSW Health.

Following the announcement of new venues of concern in Tathra and Bega, Southern NSW Local Health District will open a pop-up COVID-19 testing clinic at the Old Bega Racecourse on Saturday 9, Sunday 10 and Monday 11 October.

The drive through clinic will be open from 8am – 4pm, no booking is required.

Testing will also be available at South East Regional Hospital 8am – 4pm daily.
