GREAT SCORES PREVAIL IN VETS PAR EVENT
Another good field of 56 players registered for today's Par event with great scores being recorded by a large section of the field. Winner on the day was Greg Thornton with a +5 score, leading home Neil Mather on +4, Rob Nash on +3 followed by Margaret Downey also on +3 but losing to Rob on count back.
Balls or chocolates were won by Neal Watson and Mike Birks on +3, Leonie Snodgrass, Les Johanson, Lyn Benger, Chris Wratten and Ian Manton on +2, and then Annette Manton, Kathy Crossling, Ann Challender, Frank Pomfret and Derek Hoare on +1, Â a number of other +1 scores being beaten on count back.
Today's infamous Bradman award went to long time Tuross player Ross Macalpine, whilst nearest the pins were won by Marcel Kors on the 4th, Frank Pomfret on the 6th, and Teri Swanbury and Steve Johnston on the 7th. Paul Green took home the Accuracy drive.
