Tuross Progress stall generates much interest

The Tuross Head Progress Association (THPA) purchased a brand new gazebo for this year's Tuross Village Fair. The day was perfect and the location of the Evans Road entrance gave the association a prime position to showcase its activities.

The crowds started streaming in around 8.30am and remained until 1pm enjoying the social outing and the chance to meet up with the various community groups including the Tuross Men's Shed.

Of particular interest to the community was the plan showing the possible layout of the new bus stand at the highway.

The community were most interested in the current status of the illegal gate erected across Coopers Island Road. Assured that the road was still a Public Road the community were more than disappointed to hear that Council was condoning the illegal erection by allowing it to remain, disregarding their own responsibility as a road authority and also blatantly ignoring the outcry of the community. A three page handout was also prepared by the THPA outlining all the projects that have been undertaken during the past few years and the present issues still ongoing including Coopers Island Road and the elusive Tuross Boatramp Election Promise Jetty.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
