Sixty six players registered for the annual 4 Person Ambrose game that precedes the Vets Christmas party event. Winning team on the day was the combination of Noel Downie, Tony Crook, Solveig Olsson and Ken Brown with a great net score of 25.5 against par of 35.
They beat home the teams of Leonie Snodgrass, Jennifer Gray, Bruce Martin and Stephen Johnston on 26.87, Peter Macdonald, Dorothy Madden, Colin Fletcher and Enid Besant-Ryan on 28.02, and Robert McKirdy, Peg Nevett, Steve Collins and Derek Hoare on 28.25.
The only ball or chocolates winners this week were the three person team of Ross Davidson, Greg Bush and Geoff Bellingham on 28.33.
The Bradman ward went to the team of Graham Moore, Des Jackson and David Williams whilst nearest the pins went to Steve Swanbury on the 4th (in the the hole), Ross Macalpine on the six, and to husband and wife players Len and Gail Rogers on the 7th. Solveig Olsson took out the Accuracy drive award with a tee shot well down and close to the string line.
