Tuross Head Ladies Golf Results

Tuesday 22nd November

There were 18 starters today for a Stableford game, the 4th Christmas Countdown event.

It was so wonderful to be able to enjoy the great playing conditions on our golf course today. There is so much more “run” now as the course has dried out with the improved weather.

There were some excellent scores from the winners. We thank Gail and Len Rogers for sponsoring today’s event.

A Grade: The winner was Leonie Snodgrass with 32 points

2nd was Leonie Doolan with 31

B Grade: The winner was Marilyn Bingham with 33 points

2nd was Annette Manton with 33 points on a countback

C Grade: The winner was Jane Eglitis with a great score of 33

2nd was Elsa Shearer on 30 points

Balls were given to:

Gail Rogers 33, Pam Alexander 29, Pauline Nash 29 and Chris Wratten 27

Marilyn Bingham demonstrated excellent accuracy skills in winning both the 6th and 15th “nearest the pins” award.

Golden Hole winners were Leonie Snodgrass and Gail Rogers.

Preparations are being made for the Christmas lunch and game to be held on Tuesday, 6th December. Ladies are reminded to put their names down with a team on the sheet on the club board for this event. A reminder that there will be Kris Kringle gift giving on this day.

President Elsa informed the ladies that all Thursdays and Saturdays through the holiday period will be “mixed medley” events.

If you wish to play, get your names in early.

Tim Watson is encouraging any assistance people can give to help prepare the course, particularly the gardens, before the Tuross Open event to be held on 3rd and 4th December. Elsa also commented on how well the Friday beginner lessons are proceeding under the great coaching from our golf Pro Rob Green.
