Jim Madden, received on behalf of the Moruya Jockey Club, a presentation plaque from men's golf president club president Andrew Gordon, acknowledging their continuing support for the Tuross Head Country Club men’s open championships,which were held recently.
Tuross Head men golfers competed in the monthly stableford competition this week and Lance Shadbolt emerged as the outright winner with a score 0f 40 stableford points.
Consistent golfer John Eglitis filled second placing with 39 points ahead of Michael Hogan on a countback.
Ian Manton 38 points and Michael Elfar 37 filled the remaining award positions.
Balls were awarded down to 31 points.
Nearest the pins were won by A grade golfers Ron Rogers on the 4th hole.
Brad Doolan won the 6th and Ken Brown was closest on the 7th.
John Phyland had a good day winning both the 4th and the 6th hole in B division and Reg apps won the 7th.
Mick Elfar was the best of the C grade golfers winning the 4th hole and Peter Dugan was awarded the 6th.
