Tuross Head Fishing Club November 2021 Comp Secretary Report

Again rain fell on our Fishing Club Monthly Goblet weekend, I think some members are getting to like fishing in the rain. Blackfish was our Goblet target and 10 Blackfish were measured in.

A total of 32 fish were recorded by 9 people with 8 different species. A good result considering the wet conditions.

Goblet winner was Bruce Kennedy with 39.5cm Blackfish worth 92.5pts. Narrowly winning from his wife Racheal who measured in an excellent Blackfish.

Mens Outside winner was Mathew Roberts with a Sargent Baker 51 cm. worth 82.5 pts.

Womens Outside winner was Jeanie Dixon with a Nannygai 28cm. worth 60 pts.

Mens Lake and Estuary winner was Bruce Kennedy with his Blackfish 39.5cm. worth 92.5 pts.also recording an excellent Flathead

Womens Lake and Estuary was won by Racheal Kennedy with a Bream 30cm. worth 63.5pts.

Mens Rock and Beach winner was our King of Blackfish Merv Roberts with a Blackfish 37.5cm.worth 82.5pts. unfortunately Merv lost the Crown this year.

Womens Rock and Beach winner was Racheal Kennedy with a Blackfish 39.2cm. worth 91pts.

For the first time we have awarded a 2nd. prize winner , to Rachel Weatherby with a Bream 26.8cm. worth 42pts.

No Junior winner this month. Mystery Fish was no.20 Snapper which was won by Gavin Robinson.

The Monthly Turkey Award was proudly given to Jeannie Dixon who left her rod unattended to which disappeared overboard only to be saved at the last moment by Robbo. " HOLD ONTO YOUR ROD JEANNIE."

Presentation Night is this coming Saturday Night hope to see as many members attend as possible and congratulations to all the winners.

Next Month’s competition is from Fri 10th. to the Sunday 12th. December Goblet fish is Flathead.

Xmas BBQ will follow the Measure In at the Club, please come along and enjoy the fun.
