Tuross Head Country Club men’s golf Saturday

A highlight of golf at Tuross Head on the weekend of August 31 2019 was the annual President versus Captain 2BBB Shield.

In this competition the field is divided into two support groups playing for their selected team leader. This always results in a keen contest and this time captain Allen Lee’s team defeated president Andrew Gordon’s team.

Tuross Head men’s stableford competition was won by David Dow with a score of 40 points.

Davide was followed by Allen Gannon with 39 points, Greg Booth 38, Herb Muriwai 37 and Bruce Lidbury 35 points.

Nearest the pins were won by A grade players:

Brad Doolan on the 4th hole with 3.55m.

Shaun Hogan won the 6th with 4.80 m and Shaun was also closest on the 7th with 4.35 m.

Best in B grade was Ron Rogers on the 4th with 2.60 m.

Peter Garn on the 6th with 6.75 m and

Kevin Dukes on the 7th with 4.83 m.
