Tuross Head Country Club men’s golf news

Tuross Head Country Club men’s golf Saturday September 14 2019 There was a  close contest between the leading group of golfers at the Tuross Head Country Club stableford competition this week before a winner emerged. Three golfers returned cards of 37 stableford points with Graeme Bell winning on a countback with Ben Hewison second and Allen Gannon who filling third position. Another five players scored 36 points but Paul Ferguson and Reginald Apps took home the awards for the remaining spots. Balls were awarded to 31 points. Nearest the pins were won by A grade division golfers: Ben Hewison won the 4th hole with 5.85 m. Leigh Coloe was closest on the 6th with 0.97 m and Marty Booth was awarded the 7th hole with 5.80 m. B grade golfer Jim Wades best on the 4th hole with 0.58 m. Reg Apps won the 6th with 3.75 m and Bruce Martin the 7th with 5.20 m. Mike Allen was closest on the 4th hole with 3.56 m. Peter Dugan won the 6th with 3.01 m and Jim Madden the 7th with 9.00 m.

Thursday’s medley stableford competition was won by Peter Dugan with a high 43 points ahead of Kath Gannon 39, Desmond Jackson 39, Graham Moore 37 points. Nearest the pins were won by Peter McRae, Peter Garn and Ian Miller.
