On what was undoubtedly one of the coolest mornings this year 52 players registered for the Stableford 3 club event. Winner on the day was Allen Lee with 19 points on count back from Rob Nash. They beat home Margaret Downey on 18 and Dorothy Madden on 17, after another count back was required. Balls or chocolates were won by Colin Fletcher on 17, Len Rogers, Chris Wratten and Ian Manton on 16, followed home by Sandra and Ron Hanlon, Greg Smith, Paul Green, Kaye Lunt, Frank Pomfret, Jeanette Miller and Annette Manton all on 15.

The infamous Bradman (or encouragement) award required a four way count back to determine the winner, with the win finally going to Ron Lunt. Nearest the pins were won by Ken Hush on the 4th, and Leonie Snodgrass and Steve Swanbury on the 7th. There was no winner on the 6th. Annette Manton took out the Accuracy award.
