Trial begins for South Coast men charged with a terrorism offence

The trial has commenced of two brothers from Batemans Bay charged in March 2020 with terrorism offences following the execution of search warrants.

The charges include preparing or planning for a terrorist act and intentionally advocating for others to do a terrorist act. The trial continues.


The NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team is comprised of the Australian Federal Police, NSW Police Force, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation and NSW Crime Commission.

Anyone with information about extremist activity or possible threats to the community should come forward, no matter how small or insignificant you may think the information may be.
