Police are appealing for information after a Narooma service station employee was threatened this morning (Friday, 25 October 2019)

Police are appealing for information after a Narooma service station employee was threatened this morning by two men armed with a tree branch and a rock.

About 6am today (Friday 25 October 2019), two men attended a service station on the Princes Highway and used a tree branch, length of timber and a rock to smash three console monitors and a screen.

They demanded cash and cigarettes from the service station employee – who complied – and the two men ran from the building; the attendant was shaken but unhurt.

Detectives attached to South Coast Police District attended and a crime scene was established.

Police have a description of two men they believe can assist with this inquiry; they are described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged 18 to 20, with a thin to medium build.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report crime via NSW Police social media pages.
