Transport for NSW hosting a Community Day at Batemans Bay April 5th

Transport for NSW is hosting a Community Day at Batemans Bay with plenty of activities for the family to enjoy. The Community Day is focused on providing children in the area with a distraction from the lasting effects of the recent bushfires. Children will be able to get involved in a range of activities including rides on NSW Maritime Jet Skis, a jumping castle, lego building and face painting. There will also be a sausage sizzle, and music. The Community Day is being held at Corrigans Beach Reserve on Sunday 5 April from 9am to 1pm, weather permitting. Transport for NSW staff will be supervising all activities. Transport for NSW was active in the Batemans Bay area at the height of the bushfires; making sure staff were supported, delivering provisions to the community and assisting NSW Emergency Services. Transport for NSW spokesperson told The Beagle "We are hosting this event to support the community in a different way – by providing children an opportunity to relax, have fun and enjoy an on-water Jet Ski experience." "We hope you will support this event by forwarding our information to relevant staff and local community groups to encourage them to come along and join the fun."
