Tomakin Twist Tops Bowls Report

President Steve Hogan welcomed 24 keen bowlers on an overcast day although the sun did peep through a few times to warm us up. Steve announced a donation of $1,000 has been received by Marathon for MND.

This is an awful disease which is affecting one of our bowling friends. Vice-President Terry Montgomerie thanked all Twisties as this money is collected weekly from our members towards a deserving Charity.

Welcome to visitor Graeme Waddell from Sheparton in Victoria who joined us for the morning.

Winners were those with Most Winning Ends. Spike and Hot Lips sharing a half game with Smoothie. Runners-up, Trish the Dish and Witty Beth.Winning Skip Smoothie selected Rink 4 to try for Jackpot, this was his own Rink but no luck this time.

Other winning teams, two which were very close, R & R and Whizza 16 defeated Mad Max and Powerpoint 15 . Visitor Graeme and Scottie 17 defeated Jo and Moby Dick 16. Sue Bender and Hoges .

Well done to new bowler Rob Ireland who played Skip and although not a winner he put down some great bowls. Look out Robbo you are in trouble!! Had his name down to bowl but didn’t come to bowls must have forgotten.

Someone noticed I have been spelling name of our retired Treasurer Anthony Bermingham incorrectly, sorry Tony!! As most Twisties have nick-names I have to use them occasionally .

Everyone is welcome to Sunday Twist Tops , names in by 8 am, cards called soon after 8.30 am, 4474 7019 .

Tomakin Twist Tops . Winners, Spike, Hot Lips and Smoothie
