Tomakin: Candidates respond to TCA questions

The Tomakin Community Association ESC Elections Sub-committee has been very hard at work with all of the candidates in the upcoming Eurobodalla Shire Council election. All of the candidate groups were approached with the TCA’s top 5 items of concern (see the background briefing notes link below) and asked to respond with their views via a TCA Questionnaire. TCA ESC2021 – Background Briefing All of the candidate’s responses have now been collated into the completed questionnaire attached below for your review. TCA ESC2021 – Candidate Questionnaire FULL v2b The TCA looks forward to progressing further engagement with the successfully elected Mayor & Councillors in 2022 and beyond, and thanks all candidates for their responses and support.

The TCA also advise that it:

  1. seeks to advocate on behalf of its members and to canvass all candidates for their views in response

  2. seeks to foster an ongoing, positive and constructive relationship with the successfully elected

  3. does not endorse, nor oppose, any candidacy and wishes all candidates well in their campaigns

  4. Is distributing the results to TCA Members and the local Tomakin community for their consideration prior to the 4th December 2021 election

  5. If members of the community wish to provide any comments back to TCA please direct them to tca.esc2021election@gmail.com

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
