Tickets on sale for 2021 annual Rotary Duck Race

The 2020 Rotary Duck Race was one of many event casualties from our Black Summer’, so 2021’s Race should be a beauty. The ducks are already preparing for the great race on Australian Day 26 January 2021.

Duck tickets are selling well. They will be on sale outside Dalmeny IGA and outside Narooma IGA on Wednesday 9 December 8.30 to 11am.

They will also be available at the December Rotary Markets on Sunday 27 December.

Race coordinator Charmaine White said the 1,000 ducks will be dropped off Narooma Bridge on Tuesday 26 January. The start time will be announced closer to the event.

“‘We’re hoping for perfect weather, good crowds and a quick race downstream to the Apex Park finish line,’ she said.

The first duck across the finishing line wins $1,000; the last duck $100.

Proceeds will go towards local charities including Narooma Surf Club who help us collect the ducks and to Bermagui CRABS (Cancer Research Advocate Bikers) who lend us the ducks.
