⚡ THUNDERSTORM WARNING ⚡(Image taken at 1:14pm 20/1/2020)

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for DAMAGING, LOCALLY DESTRUCTIVE WINDS, LARGE, POSSIBLY GIANT HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL for people on the South Coast, Snowy Mountains.

A low pressure system over inland New South Wales is drawing humid air across eastern parts of the state causing widespread thunderstorm activity. This system is expected to gradually move to the Tasman Sea later tonight. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging, locally destructive winds, large, possibly giant hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.

The next warning is due to be issued by 3:30 pm.
