The Gold Medallists for the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards 2020 – the country’s most prestigious food industry event – have been announced. Four South Coast oyster farmers have made it to the celebrated delicious national gold medals.

From locally grown snowflake mushrooms to tiger striped peanuts, black barley and mountain yuzu – these are the award-winning ingredients set to take over restaurant menus in the year ahead.

The annual delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards unearth and champion Australia’s best and most innovative produce and producers with an emphasis on provenance, seasonality and sustainable production methods.

This year, 67 gold medals have been awarded across four major categories: From the Dairy, From the Earth, From the Paddock, and From the Sea.

All the nominated produce is taste-tested by a national judging panel, made up of some of the country’s most influential chefs and food industry icons including: Neil Perry, Peter Gilmore, Danielle Alvarez, Matt Moran, Colin Fassnidge and Guillaume Brahimi, to name a few.

“Congratulations to this year’s Gold Medallists. The produce they delivered during a time of unprecedented change showed just how hard Australian farmers, fishermen and artisans work at their craft,” delicious. Editorial Director Kerrie McCallum says.

The Gold Medallists will now move forward to the next stage, which sees Trophy Winners decided and announced – alongside the esteemed Producer of the Year
