The Princes Highway is expected to remain closed for some time

BENANDARAH: The Princes Highway is closed in both directions between Cullendulla Drive and Durras Drive just north of North Batemans Bay due to a serious truck and car crash.

Motorists are advised to stay away and delay their journey if they can.

If you’re already travelling north in a light vehicle, you will need to divert via the Kings Highway, Federal Highway and Hume Highway to re-join the Princes Highway using the Illawarra Highway or Picton Road.

Light vehicles travelling south from Bomaderry are being diverted onto Moss Vale Road to travel through Kangaroo Valley. From here, motorists can continue on the Illawarra Highway Hume Highway, Federal Highway and Kings Highway to re-join the Princes Highway. This diversion will add an extra 90 minutes of travel time between Nowra and Batemans Bay.

Heavy vehicles should use the Hume Highway from Sydney/Wollongong to travel south or park up if already near Nowra.

The highway is expected to remain closed for some time.
