The new Batemans Bay Bridge has opened to traffic.


Traffic was switched from the existing Clyde River Bridge onto the new bridge with one lane maintained in each direction. The Classic & Vintage Motor Club of Eurobodalla - CVMCE were fortunate to be the last ever cars over the old Batemans Bay Bridge

The Clyde River Bridge will be permanently closed from this time.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place on local roads either side of the bridge. Follow directions of signage and traffic controllers on site.

Four lanes of traffic will be opened on the new Batemans Bay Bridge later this year.

Pedestrians and cyclists will continue to use the old bridge for a few days until temporary ramps are built across the closed highway to connect the new shared path with the existing shared path network.
