Terry Lunn Beats Home A High Scoring Field

Yet another good field of 66 players teed off this morning for our Vets Single Stableford event. Scores on the day were outstanding with no fewer than 20 players breaking handicap. Winner on the day was Terry Lunn with 25 points, beating home in count back order Sandra Hanlon, Greg Thornton and Ian Miller, all on 24. Balls or chocolates went to Ian and Chris Wratten, Terry Challender, Bruce Martin and Ray Downey all on 23, Gayle Macalpine and Noel Downie on 22, Annette Manton, Peg Nevett, Stephen Crossling, Marcel Kors and Gail Rogers all on 20, and finally Ron Hanlon, Steve Swanbury, Jennifer Gray and our visiting golfer Steve Gardner from Queensland on 19.

Noel Flechter was having an off day with the clubs and took home the Bradman award, whilst nearest the pins were won by Lance Shadbolt on the 4th, Bruce Martin on the 6th, and Leonie Snodgrass and Les Johanson on the 7th. Steve Swanbury took out a closely contested Accuracy drive award.
