Ted Quinlan Romps Home in Tuross Head Vets Golf Single Stableford

Despite the gloomy, overcast morning resulting in a number of late cancellations, a good field of sixty three players registered for the Tuross Head Vets Golf Wednesday single Stableford competition. Winner on the day was Ted Quinlan (below) with a magnificent score of 28 points, a score noted by the handicapper!!

Ted beat home three players on 24 points for the major prizes, count back placings being Jennifer Gray, Greg Thornton and Paul Pereira. Minor prizes went to Mike Birks on 24, Paul Green and Kevin Dukes on 23, Ron Hanlon on 22, Leonie Snodgrass, Rob Nash, Ray Downey and Len Rogers all with 21, and the final grouping of Greg Ware, Graham Moore, Peg Nevett, Rick Brake and John Cox each with 20 points. Des Jackson had the dubious honour of taking out this week's Bradman award, the second such occasion in three weeks.
