George Bass Drive will be closed near Batemans Bay High School from 4pm tomorrow (Sunday) while our crews put in a couple of extra hours upgrading the road pavement.
Commuters should use Beach Road as an alternate route. Residents will get access to their homes but should allow extra travel time.
The team began night work last Sunday to replace the gravel pavement with a stronger and more water-resilient deep lift asphalt.
They’ve had more than a few challenges and need to begin earlier than the planned 6pm this Sunday.
Every effort will be made to minimise noise but nearby residents may hear heavy machinery.
