St Cecilia Youth Music Scholarships Open

2021 St Cecilia Youth Music Auditions Go Virtual

Entries are now open for the 28th St Cecilia Eurobodalla Youth Music Scholarships. "We were very disappointed that the scholarships had to be cancelled last year due to covid but the committee is now working very hard to ensure that they are held this year," said Mr Chris Heazlewood, President of the St Cecilia Committee.

"Entrants, once they have made application, will be invited to submit their audition performance electronically using YouTube and the recordings will then be assessed by our adjudicator with the twelve finalists performing at the annual concert on Sunday 22 November at St Bernards Church, Batehaven (Covid permitting)."

Classical and contemporary musicians between the ages of 8 to 18 (senior and junior age divisions) are encouraged to enter.

The total value of the awards is $5700 which makes it one of the most valuable music awards for young people in Australia.

The closing date for applications is Friday 22 October; guidelines on how to upload recordings will then be given to applicants.

Application forms and further details are available from our website at www.stcecilia.org.au or phone our President, Chris Heazlewood on 0417 532 358
