SPRING An exciting, dynamic and inspiring family festival day at Four Winds.

Four Winds ‘SPRING’ is a day of music and dance; contemporary and orchestral musicians, combined with dancers, singer songwriters and individual classical musicians, all to be enjoyed with a picnic on the lawns of Four Winds bushland amphitheatre. Mark the 3rd November in your diary.

A highlight of SPRING is a new dance piece, created specifically for the Four Winds site. Never before have dancers wrapped themselves around the Four Winds site like this. ENCOUNTER SOUTH is an exploration into the everyday extraordinariness and power of young people living on the South Coast and Western Sydney. Developed with a cast of 8 Western Sydney dancers and 8 fLiNG Physical Theatre dancers, and 50 musicians comprising of the Western Sydney Youth Orchestra and local young musicians, ENCOUNTER SOUTH celebrates the indomitable spirit of youth.

The music for this dance piece was composed by multi Aria nominated singer, songwriter and composer Jodi Phillis (The Clouds and solo artist), along with muti-award winning film score composer Amanda Brown. We are looking forward to hearing what a rock chick will bring to an orchestra.

Close to the heart of Four Winds is our mentoring program for some of the South Coasts best young musicians, be prepared to be blown away by these up and coming musicians. From singer song writers to classical soloists these young people are really going inspire you with their performance in the Windsong Pavilion.

SPRING will also give you the opportunity to sit on the lawns with lunch and enjoy the Western Sydney Youth Orchestra at its best. There will also be Taiko, song and soloists. If you love music, learn an instrument or want to inspire your next generation, come along. If you haven’t been to Four Winds before, this is a lovely opportunity to come and experience incredible music on a beautiful site. Tickets are only $30 and children under 16 years are free. The site gives room to move with our large tree lined amphitheatre, space for low chairs and picnic rugs. Food, coffee, wine and refreshments are available for purchase during the day from our local vendors. Alternatively, bring a picnic, relax on the grass and enjoy this musical smorgasbord.

Sunday 3 November 2019: SPRING Festival Finale – Triple Bill | 10.00am – 2.00pm | Windsong Pavilion and Sound Shell
