Special treat for Year 12 students of Batemans Bay High School

Dressed in all their finery, Batemans Bay High School Year 12 graduates will be driven to their Formal on 9th November in a variety of 30 year old Holden and Ford classic cars, plus a hot rod thrown in for good measure.

The P&C Association has partnered with the Classic and Vintage Car Club of Eurobodalla to make the Formal a night to remember for students.

“This Year 12 group has had a particularly disruptive and stressful few years, coping

with Bushfires and significant COVID-19 disruptions to their last two years of

schooling,” said Mrs Alexandra Malcolm, P&C President.

“We want to make their formal something special to let them know how much we admire their resilience and hard work” said Alexandra

“ We are very grateful for the owners and drivers of these precious cars for being so willing to add this extra element of excitement to the students’ special night “ she added.

The students will meet at Corrigan’s Beach Reserve at 4.30pm where they will meet the proud owners of the cars and have photographs taken.

After this, with family and friends watching on, and a drone videographer capturing the occasion from above, they will set off along Beach Road for the Batemans Bay Aquatic and Arts Pavilion, the venue for their Formal.
