South East Racing Pigeon Combine news

Last Sunday June 13th, the Southeast Racing Pigeon Combine held a race from Shellharbour. 305 Race Pigeons were released @9am in reasonable conditions. The birds averaged speeds of 1100 metres per minute over distances up to 209kms. With the winds turning into their faces, It proved to be a very stiff race, with slow returns. However John Mette showed the way, coming in for a very convincing win. Knocking Manny Byrne off his Perch back to 2nd, Mario Magrin 3rd, Graham Ford came 4th and Darcy Hoyer came 5th.

The Club will race from Shellharbour again next week, before heading further North.
