Eurobodalla Council will be conducting routine weed inspections in the South Durras area from 6-16 December 2022. Invasive species staff will be visiting all residential properties in South Durras to make sure any weeds that pose a threat are identified and managed. These include aquatics like water hyacinth, salvinia and frogbit, while weedy cassia (Senna pendula), lantana (Lantana camara) and arum lily (Zantedeschia aethiopica) will also be on the hit list.
Council wants to help protect the natural values that make South Durras so special. Inspecting private properties plays a key role in keeping the Eurobodalla free of serious weeds and is Council’s responsibility under the NSW Biosecurity Act 2015.
Signs have been erected to notify residents. If you would like to be present at the time of inspection, please contact Council’s Paul Martin on 4474 1269 or by email on paul.martin@esc.nsw.gov.au to arrange for a convenient date and time.
