South Coast Rugby Union – Gala Day 10’s

Last Saturday 24th October a very successful Rugby Union Gala Day 10’s was run at Hanging Rock Oval, Batemans Bay.

The weather wasn’t perfect with plenty of rain but it didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of all teams and players. A highlight was the successful return of a Rugby Union team from Bermagui Cobargo Sharks. There had been no team from the area for 8 years but they turned with strong player numbers and were very competitive from the first game.

Overall winner for the day was Bungendore “Mudchooks”. The Mudchooks brought their outstanding form displayed through out the 2020 South Coast Monaro competition and took home the perpetual trophy.

An impressive result for the day was Bermagui Cobargo, Broulee & Batemans Bay agreeing to meet and play again this Saturday to keep players keen and build on the momentum. Games are planned to be played from 2.30 at Tilba footy field. In addition South Coast Rugby and Brumbies will continue to work towards re forming Clubs from our traditional old clubs Milton Ulladulla, Narooma & Bega
