BATEMANS BAY
South Coast Proactive Crime Team Police conducted a shoplifting operation in the Batemans Bay Central Business District between Wednesday 17 and Friday 19 July 2019.
14 people were detected for shoplifting and other offences.
A 36 year old female was charged with theft and an outstanding warrant issued by Parramatta Court. She was located on a nearby bus after having left a store with stolen goods.
Her co-accused, a 23 year male from Cringila, was charged with stealing and resist arrest.
A 44 year old male was charged with Possess prohibited drug.
A 23 year old male was charged with Possess prohibited weapon (knuckle dusters shown in photograph).
A 46 year old male was charged with Trespass.
Field court attendance notices were issued to a 22 year old male and 50 year old male for stealing.
Criminal Infringement Notices for shoplifting were issued to a 25 year old male, 46 year old female, 63 year old male, two 85 year old males.
Also two juvenile females will undergo cautions under the Young Offenders Act.
