Batemans Bay 'Boars' Rugby Union report:
Character building loss today at Taralga going down 36 to 7. On the road against a quality side and with an ever increasing injury toll, the lads let the tigers play to their strengths in the first half to gain a solid lead. But showing great spirit we played an even second half which gives confidence to the weeks ahead - an overall pleasing performance considering
3 points Sam Reedy - shifting to centres, once he felt comfortable was extremely impressive in defence and found good metres in attack
2 points Liam Macpherson- high work rate game and rallied the troops in our second half performance
1 point Josh Antill - huge minutes as prop, stepping up as the last man standing but an effort the lads were extremely proud of!! And Angus Knight - looked calm in the playmaking role later in the second half, showing maturity and good decision making
Player player - Sam and Liam
We are back at home next week v the Crookwell Dogs as we search for a win or two to cement a finals spot, expecting a few players to return from injury and a very solid opposition so hope to see you there!!
