Bungendore “Mudchooks” v Jindabyne “Bushipgs” @ Bungendore
Jindabyne “Bushpigs” are 2022 Premiers after defeating the previous undefeated Bungendore “Mudchooks” 17 – 13. Bungendore went into the game favourites following a flawless season were they hadn’t lost a game, however, in the end it was Jindabyne that claimed the premiership with a determined effort, The Jindabyne Bushpigs were the more disciplined team on the day and controlled the important first 30 minutes of play were they scored 2 converted tries and kicked a penalty to lead 17 – 0. Bungendore picked up 2 quick penalty goals before half time to reduce the lead to 17 – 6 at the break. The second half was very entertaining with both sides playing quality rugby but, again, Jindabyne controlled territory better. With 10 minutes to go Bungendore crossed for a converted try off the back of a line out and rolling maul to give themselves a chance of a win. The remaining tense 10 minutes Jindabyne Bushpigs again controlled territory & ball possession to claim the Premiership trophy season 2022
