Single-use plastics are on the way out June 1st

From 1 June, the supply of lightweight shopping bags will be banned in NSW and other single-use plastic items will be banned from 1 November.

Exemptions will apply to ensure continued access to straws for people with a disability or medical need.

Everyone can be part of this transition towards a circular economy, where materials and resources are valued, while creating jobs and protecting the environment and the community.
