Shane Gschwend wins Tuross stableford event

Tuross Head men’s Saturday competition golfers  competed in a stableford competition which  resulted in a win for Shane Gschwend with a high score of 44 points.

Robert McDonald filled second place with 39 points, edging out Greg Booth on a countback.

Nigel Barling and Allan Langford, both had cards of 38 points, and were awarded the remaining player awards.

Thursday’s medley stableford event went to well known golfer Greg Smith with 39 points with Trevor Jones being awarded second placing with 36 points.

Michael Coloe and All Langford both finished with 36 points but were moved down to list on countbacks.

Teri Swanbury, representing the lady competitor players  returned a sound 35 points.

Tim Watson, Tuross Head Country Club ground superintendent has made an appeal for volunteers to assist with green coring on Monday 14th September with two shifts required between the hours of 8 am to 11am and 11 am to 1 pm
