Seniors' Festival Eurobodalla


The NSW Seniors’ Festival is an annual celebration for people over 60. Running from Friday 25 March to Sunday 3 April, the 2022 Seniors’ Festival's theme is ‘Reconnect’. There are some great events and activities in Eurobodalla so come along, join in and have some fun. What’s on Seniors Expo at Batemans Bay Library Come along to Batemans Bay Library and enjoy the 2022 Seniors Expo, this year theme is Reconnect: growing young in Eurobodalla. There will be an art workshop, photography exhibition, plant swap, exciting dog skills demonstration, books sales, sausage sizzle and great stalls about staying connected, active and engaged. Meet Council's natural resources team, have a chat about your garden and take part in the plant swap. Bring your environmental weeds in a bag and swap for a free native plant.

Woodies tour and BBQ The Narooma Woodies will be holding a tour of their facilities, see the various aspects of woodwork practised in the club including, general woodworking, wood turning and toy making. Visitors are invited to a BBQ after the tour for an opportunity to chat to members about the what the club offers to the local community and ways you can get involved.

Croquet fun in the sun Get some friends together or come by yourself and enjoy a morning of fun in the sun on the croquet courts of Dalmeny. Morning tea will be provided and lunch will be available to purchase at Club Dalmeny and don’t forget to bring flat sole shoes, a sun hat and sense of fun. Registrations are from 9am and bookings are essential.

Grey Slip meetup | Tuross Head Hit the road and head to Tuross for a fun road safety themed event for seniors. Hear tips for older people on how to make safer choices when driving, riding, walking, scooting or catching public transport. Learn about the changes to health that come with age and how medications can affect road users. The Classic and Vintage Motor Club of Eurobodalla will also be providing a barbecue lunch and display of their vehicles on the day.

Rock on – Lapidary Lovers Experience the joy of gems with Batemans Bay Lapidary Club. Following the process from locating rough stone to creating beautiful jewellery, participants will be encouraged to create a take home pendant (materials supplied). Hear from gem experts and get involved with a hands-on demonstration. There will be a sumptuous themed morning tea provided including, 'rock cakes’ and 'gem scones'! A guided tour of our South Coast Geology and Gold exhibition will also be on offer.

Seniors film making 101 Join Far South Film in a one-day film making workshop, you will learn how to shoot films on your mobile phone, tablet or digital camera and be encouraged to tell your own story in a creative way. Bring your own device (smartphone, tablet or digital camera) or use the equipment that is provided. The process of editing will also be explained in this inclusive, hands-on and fun day empowering seniors to tell their stories in digital form. Bookings essential.

Seniors community festival Find support and learn ways to reconnect at the 2022 senior community festival! Local organisations will be available to talk to and be providing information on a wide range of topics including fire safety, home care, retired living, there will also be opportunities to join local senior social groups. A light and healthy lunch will be provided.
