The South East Australian Transport Strategy (SEATS) group have recognised that incrementally across the region Councils are dealing with structural road damage through the effects of multiple natural disasters - fire and flood. In some cases, remote communities in the South East Australia are becoming isolated with impassable roads. SEATS acknowledge that the burden on local government to ensure road safety for their community is all too apparent. While SEATS acknowledges government funding support road damage caused by natural disasters, they are asking for a sustained focus on Araluen Road in the Eurobodalla region and will be seeking government support for efforts by the Eurobodalla Council to ensure road access and safety for the community.
