SCAM ALERT

Australian Federal Police advise ‼️ SCAM ALERT ‼️ AFP have received multiple reports about a scam email claiming to be from the AFP Commissioner. This email is NOT from the AFP despite appearing to come from the address invitation@afp.gov.au. It invites people to the AFP regarding an ongoing investigation, and prompts readers to open a series of attachments. AFP would never send emails of this nature and if they did they would have a go at getting the grammar right.

If you receive this email, do not open any attachments, do not forward the email and do not respond to the email. Please immediately report the matter via the ACCC Consumer Rights Scamwatch website: https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/report-a-scam


NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand.
