Same same, but different at the Bas

A generational exploration of a father and daughter’s individual perceptions of art will be on show at the Bas from Saturday 14 November.

Same same, but different sees Terry and Amanda Fuller each express their shared love and value of nature in both 2D and 3D works.

Eurobodalla Council’s arts coordinator Indi Carmichael said the exhibition explored the similarities in their work.

“Amanda is an experienced artist and exhibitor currently working from her own studio in Sydney’s northern beaches, while Terry is a sculptor from Tuross Head whose work features strong organic architectural values,” she said.

“Reflected in their work is their shared bond, life experiences and love to create.

“The exhibition is unashamedly hedonistic, concentrating purely on visual and sensory pleasure as an aesthetic response. As such, the expressive works explore not only the sense of sight but also the sense of touch, with the aim to evoke a feeling of reverie.”

Same same, but different is on exhibition at the Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre from Saturday 14 November to Sunday 6 December 2020.

Find out more about the artists’ processes, influences and exhibition experience through the artist profiles, and explore the exhibition online, through the Bas 3D tours at https://thebas.com.au/exhibitions/

The Bas is at the corner of Vulcan and Campbell Streets, Moruya and is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-4pm.
