Recovery Centres And Disaster Welfare Assistance Points

📌 Three Disaster Recovery Centres are now open on the NSW South Coast at Bega, Batemans Bay and Ulladulla.

Disaster Recovery Centres are a one-stop shop for assistance and support for bushfire impacted communities.


Bushfire impacted communities on the NSW South Coast can seek help and advice about a range of vital services through Disaster Recovery Centres or obtain immediate assistance with shelter, food and water through the Disaster Welfare Assistance Points, now open throughout the region. Disaster Recovery Centres are a one-stop shop, providing practical assistance and support for people impacted by the bush fires. Support services and agencies at Recovery Centres include local councils, Disaster Welfare, small business advisors, NSW Health, Legal Aid, Fair Trading, Red Cross, the Salvation Army, chaplains and insurers. There are three Disaster Recovery Centres now open on the NSW South Coast. Bega Recovery Centre - now open at Council Chambers Zingel Place Monday-Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm Weekends: 10:00am – 4:00pm Recovery hotline:02 6499 2345 Batemans Bay Recovery Centre – now open at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club Open seven days from 9am to 5pm Recovery hotline: 02 6499 2345 Ulladulla Recovery Centre - now open at Ulladulla Civic Centre Open seven days from 9am to 5pm Recovery hotline: 02 6499 2345 Those impacted by the fires and have immediate needs such as shelter, food or water, are encouraged to register at their nearest Disaster Welfare Assistance Point. Disaster Welfare Assistance Points provide access to information, accommodation support, health and wellbeing support, and housing assistance. There are four Disaster Welfare Assistance Points on the NSW South Coast. Shoalhaven LGA Ulladulla Civic Centre, 81B Princes Highway, Ulladulla. Open 9am - 4pm. Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, 42 Bridge Road Nowra . Open 9am - 4pm. Snowy Monaro LGA Cooma Multi-Function Centre, Cooma Showground, Cnr Cromwell and Boundary Street Cooma. Open 9am - 6pm. Wingecarribee LGA 65 Elizabeth St Moss Vale, Civic Centre, Councillors room. Open 9am - 4pm. Individuals who have been impacted by the fires but have been unable to visit recovery centres or assistance points can call the Disaster Welfare Assistance Line on 1800 018 444, Monday - Friday 8.30am- 4.30pm.
