Ray Bollard: Best of wet weather golfers

Tuross Head men golfers competed under trying conditions on Saturday following the recent heavy rain. However golf carts were able to be used on the course with a request from the ground management supervisor Tim Watson that players exercise due care in negotiating the fairways.

Ray Bollard was able to master the heavy conditions and emerged the winner of the stableford event with 36 points. Michael Allen filled second placing with a close 35 points.

Kevin Dukes, who also scored 35 points was third on a countback.

Graeme Sindel and Robert McDonell were the remaining award winners both handing in cards of 34 points.

Thursday’s medley stableford competition was won by Colin Houghton with 37 points ahead of Allan Langford 35, Ian Manton and Leonie Doolan both on 34 and Chris Cox who finished with 33 points.
