South Coast Police District advise: POLICE SUSPEND SEARCH FOR MISSING MAN

The search for a missing Canberra man off the coast north of Batemans Bay has been called off, after a final police diver operation.

The 39-year-old man was first reported missing on the 25th of January, after he entered the water at South Durras while visiting Richmond Beach with his family.

Today (Feb 11th 2021), divers from the NSW Police Force’s Marine Area Command attended and conducted a thorough search of the rock area where the man was last sighted with a negative result.

Following a review, the search has been suspended pending any further information becoming available.
