Plan for action on disability inclusion

Eurobodalla Council is seeking community input to help improve opportunities for people with disability in the shire.

The Council is preparing a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan that seeks to identify and remove barriers for people with disability in participating fully in community life. It will centre on four themes; positive attitudes and behaviours, stronger communities, meaningful employment and better systems and processes.

The Council is hosting online focus groups this month to seek feedback and ideas on how Council’s services and facilities can improve accessibility.

Disability service providers, relevant non-profit organisations, business representatives and Council’s clients with disability and their carers have been invited, however anyone with an interest is encouraged to participate.

To register contact Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan review officer Steve Picton on 4474 9222 or steve.picton@esc.nsw.gov.au

An online survey is also available via Council’s website.

For more information about the Disability Inclusion Action Plan review, or to complete the survey visit https://www.esc.nsw.gov.au/council/your-say/eurobodalla-disability-inclusion-action-plan-feedback-survey
